(Pink Sheets:ABEW) and SoftBaugh, Inc. announced that they have teamed to provide a platform that includes Airbee's free 4-node ZigBee protocol stack resident on TI MSP430 controllers and ZMD new 900 MHz radios. Application developers can now rapidly build and test a 4-node mesh network ZigBee solution in the 900 MHz frequency band. This teaming offers customers a ready-made platform to integrators and OEMs looking for turnkey 900 MHz ZigBee solutions. Based on the ZigBee standard, Airbee's platform independent ZNS protocol stack now enables designers and third parties to easily begin ZigBee application development on the ZMD/MSP430 combination.

A hardware development board (DZMD1612) is available from SoftBaugh Inc. with Airbee's ZNS-Lite ZigBee based software pre-programmed on an MSP430F1612 MCU and also includes a ZMD 44102 900 MHz transceiver, and PCB antenna. The free 4-node stack for developers with the ZMD 900 MHz transceiver and the MSP430 microcontrollers is available via Airbee's web site (http://www.airbeewireless.com).
