VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Sept. 27, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- American Insulock Inc. (the "Company") (Pink Sheets:AILKF) (CNQ:AIKI.U) is pleased to announce that the Company has received orders for more blocks in Alberta, Canada. Sandstone Homes, who previously had a distributorship agreement with American Insulock, is continuing to use the Insulock technology in their projects.
This new order will partially fill the requirement of a 4,200 block order.
The Company is currently re-negotiating a distributorship agreement with Sandstone Homes. The new agreement could be for a smaller portion of Alberta leaving other areas available.
The management of American Insulock has maintained a good working relationship with Sandstone Homes. Canceling the distributorship agreement with Sandstone Homes was necessary due to Sandstone's lack of financing. Sandstone is exploring other means of financing and is continuing to promote the use of Insulock blocks in the province of Alberta.
Due to the increased demand for blocks the existing demonstration machine in Mesa, Arizona is currently being expanded from six molds to twelve molds. This new twelve mold machine will be similar to the machines that the Company will provide to distributors.
The Company's core business is the manufacture and distribution of its brand of insulating concrete forms (known as Insulock Blocks), together with the equipment that is used to manufacture these blocks. Insulock Blocks are made of polyurethane rather than polystyrene (i.e., Styrofoam(r)), which is the material that is used by virtually every other manufacturer of insulating concrete forms. Insulock Blocks are much stronger than polystyrene blocks and can be used to construct soundwalls and buildings that are highly effective at absorbing sound and that have an R-30 or R-38 heat insulating value.
