New Book Highlights Effort to Solve Racial Prejudice in America

SNOW CAMP, N.C., Sept. 27, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- No matter how liberal people try to be and how much change is made, racial divisions continue to exist and block universal acceptance. As such, only the most courageous and the most understanding people are needed to make such acceptance come true. These are the themes that readers will discover in The Shroud, a new book written by author Dana T. Moore, II focusing on racial problems.

This book features a fictional account of one man's attempt to atone and set right the problems of racial prejudice in America. The story begins when a successful business entrepreneur takes an African American, teenage budding criminal into his home and raises him as a member of his family. As a result, the family breaks up and despite the setback, the entrepreneur continues to educate his newest family member. Many years later, the reformed African American completes his law degree and marries a white man's daughter. Now on the rise, he aims high for the U.S. Senate. Will the former criminal succeed? Only time can tell.

Deep from the core, The Shroud is a dramatic book that deals with racial problems and their impact on white families. Not only does it bring to life the racial division of society, it also expresses the need for universal understanding and acceptance between people. To feel its impact, readers are encouraged to buy a copy of this book online at Xlibris.com, Amazon.com, Barnesandnoble.com or by visiting your nearest bookstore today.
