Tennessee Bar Assoc. Selects First Tennessee as Financial Services Provider

MEMPHIS, Tenn., Oct. 5, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Tennessee Bar Assoc. has selected First Tennessee Bank as its preferred financial service provider. As a result, First Tennessee will offer financial products and discounts geared toward legal professionals and will provide TBA members with financial information via targeted articles in TBA publications and on the group's Web site, www.tba.org. First Tennessee also will sponsor TBA's annual conference and continuing legal education (CLE) events required for lawyers to maintain their licenses.

"Legal professionals have special financial needs and issues," said Deb Peterson, manager of business development strategy for First Tennessee. "Not only do they have personal financial needs, but because many of them operate as sole practitioners or as small firms, they have unique business financial needs as well. We've put together a comprehensive group of products and discounts that will meet those needs, and we'll always be on the lookout for new products and information that will be valuable to the members of the TBA."

TBA Executive Director Allan F. Ramsaur said, "First Tennessee offered the breadth of exposure, depth of experience and intensity of focus we had been looking to offer our members. We expect this endorsement to be a long and productive one."

First Tennessee's agreement with the TBA is similar to its agreement with the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants, which started in early 2005. First Tennessee created a members-only Web site, www.CPAFirstResource.com, with information, products and discounts for TCPA members.
