Integra Foundation Awards Grants to the Congress of Neurological Surgeons


PLAINSBORO, N.J., Oct. 6, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Integra Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Integra LifeSciences Corporation, has awarded grants totaling $55,000 to the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS) in support of the 2006 Congress of Neurological Surgeons Annual Meeting in Chicago, October 7-12, 2006.

"We are delighted to continue our support of the educational efforts of the CNS, and to reiterate our commitment to improving medical care," said Gianna Sabella, Executive Director of the Integra Foundation.

Founded in 1951, the CNS is a leader in education and innovation, providing its neurosurgical members with the highest quality educational programs and promoting innovative research critical to the advancement of neurosurgery. Through volunteer service on CNS committees and in leadership positions, CNS members guide the future of neurosurgery while developing their own leadership skills. The CNS represents more than 5,000 neurosurgeons and allied health care professionals worldwide. The CNS is dedicated to promoting public welfare through the advancement of neurosurgery and maintains advocacy on numerous issues impacting neurosurgeons, affiliated specialists, and patients worldwide.
