Panasonic Picks Winners From Oxyride Extreme Online Sweepstakes

All Expenses Paid Weekend Awarded to Meet Jeremy 'Twitch' Stenberg At the Dew Action Sports Tour

SECAUCUS, N.J., Oct. 9, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Panasonic announced Tiffany Ginn, and son Travis Ginn, of Stanford, Florida, as the grand prize winners of Panasonic's Oxyride online sweepstakes for the 2006 Dew Action Sports Tour. The prize includes an all expenses paid weekend to Orlando, Florida and VIP passes to attend the Dew Action Sports Tour's final stop in 2006, the PlayStation(r) Pro. They get to meet Freestyle Motocross Superstar Jeremy "Twitch" Stenberg.

"To truly appreciate action sports you must see it for yourself. Panasonic is thrilled to be apart of Tiffany's and Travis's experience at the Dew Action Sports Tour finals," said Brian Kimberlin, Director of Panasonic Battery Corporation of America. "In addition to seeing the events live, Tiffany and Travis will meet and spend time with one of the premiere action sport athletes, Jeremy 'Twitch' Stenberg. Now that is an extreme experience."

Panasonic is the official battery supplier of the 2006 Dew Action Sports Tour -- the only professional action sports tour encompassing skateboarding, BMX and freestyle motocross, which runs for five months, closing October 2006. As the tour's exclusive battery supplier, Panasonic is promoting its flagship Oxyride(tm) Extreme Power(tm) battery -- a new, first-of-its-kind technology designed to power digital cameras and portable electronics.

"We are excited to have the Oxyride sweepstakes winners share in the Dew Action Sports Tour with Panasonic," said Wade Martin, General Manager of the Dew Action Sports Tour. "Our partnership with a brand such as Oxyride works well because they offer such great experiences to their consumers."

With over ten thousand sweepstakes entries, other first prize winners include Marie Beers of Yorktown Heights, Nev.; Teresa Castle of King, N.C; Janet Coleman of Washington, D.C.; Maureen Dempsey of West Springfield, Mass.; Brenda Humphrey of Spartanburg, S.C.; P.K.
