ARI insights Streamlines Fleet Information Updates

MT. LAUREL, N.J., Oct. 9, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Fleet managers who update vehicle information manually now have an important business tool available from Automotive Resources International that can shorten the process from days and hours to seconds.

Through a Bulk Update feature on ARI insights(tm), the intelligent web-based car and truck fleet management system announced by ARI in August 2006, clients can now query and update information such as division, cost center, location, truck upfitting status, etc., on all vehicles in the listing automatically. The new capability enables fleet managers not only to bulk-update vehicles, but also to handle multiple fields at once and complete the updates in real-time. Through the Bulk E-Mail feature on ARI insights, clients can even inform their drivers of the changes the Bulk Update is making.

The value this creates for ARI customers is "both compelling and lasting," according to Bill Kwelty, ARI Vice President and Chief Information Officer. Kwelty explained that the speed and convenience of ARI's new Bulk Update feature "can have a profoundly positive impact on client fleet operations in terms of improving productivity and efficiency."

ARI insights is currently in use at select customer locations in limited release and is scheduled for general customer availability in January 2007. The new ARI business tool gives customers, even those with the most complex truck fleet operations, comprehensive actionable data about their fleets -- strategic fleet insights -- through comparative performance data, simplified interfaces and tools that get results faster. ARI clients can leverage the system to improve fleet operation, cost management, and business decision-making in the future.
