New Psychological Drama Book Released by Xlibris Tackles Judicial Corruption, Child Abuse and Sex Syndicates

CHULA VISTA, Calif., Oct. 12, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- The trauma caused by rape and child abuse is undeniably shocking and permanent to its victims. Being a victim himself, author Richard Lee Orey reveals the psychological damage of sex crimes and the human obsession for vengeance through his dramatic fictional storytelling with his new book The Paradise of Revenge: Shadows of Justice, Book I.

The Paradise of Revenge is a bold psychological crime drama of judicial corruption, syndicated sex, uncommon courage and a young woman's quest for God-sent love. Based on the author's personal experience, it tells an emotion-packed story that exposes the reality of mental trauma suffered by victims of sex crimes and at the same time it gives them hope for the future. Readers will be introduced to young Josefina Maria Camarillo, who turns her back on God and schemes her wicked biblical vengeance on Shy Lanier, the teenage son of a man whom she believes brutally raped and disfigured her. Meanwhile, the dazzling and brilliant Lonnie Lanier swallows her pride and morality to work undercover in a Lawyers Only escort and prostitution business gathering the evidence she needs to prove her husband's innocence and to bring to justice the ruthless courthouse crime family that framed her husband. Will the conflict end quietly or will it escalate to the point of genocide? Only time can tell.

Written for mature readers, The Paradise of Revenge is essentially a story of dedication, sacrifice and courage, an inspirational struggle for personal dignity and love. Central to all is the unshakable faith of one woman: "God has a plan for me." Not only does it emphasize that crimes continue to elude justice, it exposes the corruption within the justice system and symbolizes the threat of a growing social cancer. The Paradise of Revenge is a powerful book with a shocking and heartfelt resolution, a story inspiring courage and faith and also a story that will haunt you for years.
