Global CDMA2000 Operators Examine State of 3G

CDG to Present Live Web Cast This Friday: 'Future of the CDMA2000 Industry: Operators' Insight'

 WHAT:   Global CDMA2000(r) operators will be participating in a "live"
         web cast hosted by the CDMA Development Group (CDG)
         (www.cdg.org) to discuss the state of 3G technology.  The CDMA
         industry has a solid, long-term evolution path that will
         enable operators to continue to evolve their networks to
         next-generation capabilities. The industry is on an
         accelerated path to advanced mobile broadband services. There
         are 176 operators in 75 countries, including 51 CDMA2000
         1xEV-DO systems, serving more than 275 million subscribers
         worldwide.
    
         Topics to be discussed during the Web cast include:

         -- 3G CDMA2000 operators' commitment to continue rolling out
            advanced voice, multimedia and broadband data services
            including CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Rev A services
         -- CDMA2000 industry, its ecosystem and business prospects
         -- CDMA2000 technology evolution path and its progress towards
            delivering IP-based voice and advanced mobile broadband
            services
         -- Devices and services expected with CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Rev A

 WHO:    Iain Gillott, founder and president of iGR, will moderate the
         discussion.  Executive participants include:

         The CDMA Development Group is a trade association formed to
         foster the worldwide development, implementation and use of
         CDMA technologies. The more than 130 member companies of the
         CDG include many of the world's largest wireless carriers and
         equipment manufacturers. The primary activities of the CDG
         include development of CDMA features and services, public
         relations, education and seminars, regulatory affairs and
         international support. Currently, there are more than 500
         individuals working within various CDG subcommittees on
         CDMA-related matters.

         with an opportunity to submit questions online.  Web cast
