New Web Site Rates Accuracy of Fantasy Football Experts' Predictions

MONROVIA, Md., Oct. 24, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Fantasy football players will now have a barometer to measure the accuracy of predictions made by fantasy football experts. FantasyHoundDog.com (FHD) has put in place a proprietary scoring system to rank the experts so 15 million players who, according to the Fantasy Sports Trade Association spend some estimated $496 each per season, can make winning weekly lineup decisions. Since it is known that fantasy football players set their weekly lineups by referring to the experts' predictions, this tool can significantly improve their success and winnings. FHD now separates the real experts from the rest by making available information on the successful and unsuccessful prediction scores of the individual experts.

FHD was launched by Ken Malnar and Mark Kreslins, two avid longtime fantasy football players. Like other fantasy football team owners, they want to win their league, and they rely on fantasy expert advice every week. But time and money is often in short supply for many players, so the idea behind Fantasy Hound Dog is to help fantasy footballers make the most of their time and money, maximize their fantasy football investments, and win their leagues.

Mark Kreslins said, "As far as we know, we're the first web site of this type. Ultimately, we're trying to improve fantasy sports in general and fantasy football in particular with this information that nobody else is providing. Now fantasy football players can find out how well fantasy experts actually predict player performance, which experts are better than others at predicting, and they can then determine which experts are best for them."

Fantasy Hound Dog uses what they call "stubborn facts" to compare experts' predictions with actual results. Those facts are analyzed by algorithms that determine how often the experts are correct. Experts are ranked based on predictions that are the most important to fantasy football players, providing maximum value. FantasyHoundDog.com sniffs out those results and then displays them on a color-coded graph that sizes up the experts. The interactive graph lets the fantasy player drill down into prediction summaries and player performance data.

The FHD Control Panel lets players filter rankings by week, position, prediction type, and more. With a click of the mouse, players can see a summary of predictions made by any individual expert. Players can also use the "My Team" feature to see which experts are best at predicting the performance of specific players on their fantasy teams. And the Fantasy Expert for a Week feature allows participants to compete with others as experts and win great prizes, including Super Bowl Tickets.

FHD subscribers can go directly to each expert's website directly from FHD, allowing them to easily review all of the benefits provided by each expert. They can then, in combination with the information provided by FHD, select the expert that fits them best.
