About Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje:

Born and raised in London, England, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje began his career as a law graduate earning a masters degree in Law from London's prestigious King's College. However a career in law was not to follow as destiny had another fate in store, when he was discovered by acclaimed Producer/Director Frank Marshall who cast him in the Paramount blockbuster "Congo." In 1997, it was Adewale's dramatic portrayal of the murderous drug-addicted prisoner 'Simon Adebisi' in HBO's hit television series 'Oz' that led to him receiving both critical and audience acclaim, as well as two NAACP Award nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series and for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. Adewale subsequently went on to focus on a career in film, starring in THE MUMMY RETURNS, THE BOURNE IDENTITY and most recently in GET RICH OR DIE TRYIN'.

Adewale currently stars in the Emmy Award-winning series "Lost," in which he plays the mysterious priest 'Mr Eko.' For his portrayal of the enigmatic character he recently won the coveted SAG Award for "Best Ensemble Cast," and two Screen Nation Awards in Europe (often referred to as the 'Black British Oscars'); for Best Actor in a TV Series and for Best Actor in a Motion Picture

In 2007, Adewale will make the transition behind the camera with a directorial debut of his highly anticipated autobiographical project in which he writes, stars in and produces.
