Remote Ceremony Will Celebrate Cadence One-Year Listing Anniversary on The NASDAQ Stock Market


SAN JOSE, Calif., Nov. 1, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Cadence Design Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:CDNS), together with The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc. (Nasdaq:NDAQ) will today host a NASDAQ Remote Opening Bell ceremony live from San Jose, California to commemorate Cadence's one-year listing anniversary on NASDAQ. The ceremony will take place at Cadence corporate headquarters and will be broadcast simultaneously on NASDAQ's seven-story Tower in Times Square, bringing the event from San Jose to New York.

The NASDAQ Remote Opening Bell ceremony will occur at 6:30 a.m. P.T. (9:30 a.m. E.T.) on November 1. The NASDAQ Opening and Closing Bell Ceremonies occur daily from NASDAQ's Times Square Studio but can be conducted remotely, symbolizing NASDAQ's electronic market.

The ceremony, co-hosted by Cadence CEO Mike Fister and NASDAQ Executive Vice President Bruce Aust, will be witnessed by Cadence employees and board members and seen by millions of viewers via television networks that broadcast the ceremony daily throughout the U.S. and around the world.
