(Pink Sheets:FRVT) venture portfolio company, announced today the release of its Izemail S/MIME encryption product for the Blackberry by Research in Motion.

This new product 'Izemail for Blackberry' is the first in a range of solutions to support secure email encryption on mobile platforms. "As more and more companies rely on mobile platforms for their confidential corporate email, we believe this product will fill an immediate need for privacy and security for these mobile platforms using encryption; such a solution is slowly becoming mandated by certain U.S. and state law," noted Karman. "As AIVD, the Dutch Intelligence Service announced yesterday, the Blackberry by itself is not secure for confidential government email."

Izemail for Blackberry in conjunction with the Blackberry mobile device allows a user to read S/MIME encrypted email on the handheld. It does not require changes in the BES server, nor does it require a company BEX server. The software uses the S/MIMI capability built-in to the handheld device, thus maintaining compatibility with other applications on the handheld.

Izemail is a solution that protects email via encryption and digital signatures. The Izecom flagship product, Izemail Gateway, is an encrypting and decrypting product that actively processes all outgoing and incoming email automatically according to rules set up by the organization.
