Nevada Gold Appoints Robert Farinella General Manager of Tioga Downs and Vernon Downs


HOUSTON, Nov. 10, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Nevada Gold & Casinos (AMEX:UWN) announced today the appointment of Robert "Bob" Farinella as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Tioga and Vernon Downs in New York State. Mr. Farinella is replacing Eric Persson, who has resigned to return to his hometown of Las Vegas to pursue the purchase of a business enterprise. Mr. Persson will be working closely with Mr. Farinella during the transition phase.

Mr. Farinella was most recently President and General Manager of Prairie Meadows Casino and Racetrack in Altoona, Iowa, one of the largest gaming and racing resorts in Iowa. He was responsible for the opening of Prairie Meadows and its subsequent $120 million expansion. He has also served as General Manager of Jumer's Casino Rock Island in Illinois and consulted in the development of various Native American and riverboat gaming facilities. Mr. Farinella started his career in the U.S. military where he was responsible for over 6,000 gaming machines worldwide. He holds a B.A. in Commerce from the University of Maryland and an M.B.A. from the University of Utah.
