CHICAGO, IL -- (MARKET WIRE) -- November 13, 2006 -- MorrisAnderson & Associates,
Ltd., Chicago, is pleased to announce that Howard R. Korenthal has joined
the company as a Managing Director in the company's Chicago office.
"We are excited to have Howard Korenthal on the MorrisAnderson team," says
Principal Dan Dooley. "Howard has a great degree of successful experience
in operational and financial advisory and interim management consulting
over the last 25+ years. He will help us focus on out-of-court business
sales and liquidations via receiverships and ABCs.
"This will not be Howard's exclusive role with MorrisAnderson, however,"
Dooley adds. "He is a strong operations and financial project leader and an
accomplished CEO. As such, he will also help us market and provide the
entire suite of MorrisAnderson's service offerings."
Korenthal has nearly 30 years of experience working with financially
distressed and underperforming companies, serving in senior management,
interim management and consulting. His extensive turnaround expertise
encompasses a broad range of industries including manufacturing,
distribution, food processing and metal production.
During his career, Korenthal has been instrumental in more than 100
turnaround and restructuring projects, working in the areas of improvement,
cash flow and viability analyses, as well as negotiations with senior
creditors, unsecured creditors, liquidations, assignments for creditors'
benefit and complex Chapter 11 proceedings.
Before joining MorrisAnderson, Korenthal was a Managing Partner at Lake
Pointe Partners. He previously was President and CEO of Connor Sports
Flooring Corp., where he initiated cost-savings and profit improvement
measures and led the company's efforts to receive ISO 9001:2000
certification. Connor Sports Flooring was the leading manufacturer of maple
and synthetic sports floors in the United States until the company's sale
in 2005.
Korenthal also was senior partner in the nationally recognized turnaround
and consulting firm Silverman Korenthal & Co., based in Chicago. He is a
certified public accountant and has a bachelor's degree in accountancy from
the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a member of the
Turnaround Management Association, the American Institute of Certified
Public Accountants and the Illinois Institute of Certified Public
Accountants.
