PricewaterhouseCoopers Names Lt. Gen. (Ret.) George Peach Taylor Jr. Managing Director in Firm's Federal Practice


WASHINGTON, Nov. 13, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) today announced that recently retired Air Force Surgeon General, Lieutenant General (Dr.) George Peach Taylor Jr. has joined the firm as a managing director.

General Taylor joins PwC's Federal Government Practice and will focus on large scale transformation projects, innovative electronic business solutions, independent program management oversight and verification. Gen. Taylor will also spearhead other related key activities across Veterans Affairs, Health and Human Services and other federal agencies.

General Taylor's 27 years of military service concluded on Oct. 1, 2006, after he served for almost four years as the Surgeon General of the Air Force. In that capacity, he advised the Secretary and Chief of Staff of the Air Force on matters pertaining to the medical aspects of the air expeditionary force and was responsible for the worldwide health care delivered to 2.6 million Air Force beneficiaries. General Taylor led the DoD effort and was the senior medical advisor to the 2005 DoD Base Realignment and Closure Commission (BRAC) on all military medical related matters for the MHS.
