Agence France-Presse Joins Voxant's Viral Distribution Network

Top International News Service Will Make Content Available to Online Publishers

RESTON, Va., Nov. 20, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Agence France-Presse (AFP) has joined Voxant's Viral Syndication Network(tm) to distribute news and information from around the globe to thousands of Web sites and blogs seeking credible, licensed news content, Voxant announced today.

AFP, which employs more than 2,000 journalists in 165 countries, offers video, text, pictures, animated graphics, and other multimedia content. It covers 24/7 worldwide news from politics and diplomacy to economy and finance, sports and culture to science, technology, health and people. Its clients include the world's major media organizations as well as corporations, governments and international agencies. AFP content will be available to members of Voxant's Viral Syndication Network through TheNewsRoom(tm) when it launches later this month.

"AFP is very excited about the opportunity to collaborate with Voxant on advanced ways to deliver content online," said Gilles Tarot, Marketing & Sales Director for AFP North America. "TheNewsRoom will allow our multimedia and video services to reach Web sites and blogs in a very attractive and innovative manner."

Voxant's Viral Syndication Network makes it easy for news publishers to distribute fully licensed video, print, audio and still photo content to thousands of Web sites and blogs across the "long tail" of the Web. The content may be obtained from TheNewsRoom and redistributed to an infinite number of sites through viral mashing(tm), Voxant's unique process of embedding news content and advertising. Voxant's advertising-supported network is free to Web publishers and provides a new revenue stream to originating content providers and distributors. Voxant will provide ads for AFP content, but many content providers supply their own advertising.

"We are thrilled to have one of the world's leading news services contributing videos, articles and multimedia content to our Viral Syndication Network," said Voxant CEO Jeff Crigler. "AFP is respected around the world, and its participation in TheNewsRoom helps us satisfy the surging demand from thousands of Web publishers for licensed news content ranging from top news of the day to niche areas like lifestyle and health in full compliance with copyright laws."
