EcoPlus Initiates R and D for Creating Fuel Pellets from its Alternative

Fuel Product Kyoto Protocol May Open Additional International Markets

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Nov. 21, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- EcoPlus, Inc. (Pink Sheets:ECPL) has initiated a study into the feasibility of utilizing its alternative, green fuel product in the form of fuel pellets. If the study is successful, the company envisions the use of EcoFuel as an additional BTU source in commercial pellet-fuel applications.

Bill Scherffius, Chief Operating Officer for EcoPlus stated that, "EcoFuel produced by the EcoPlus process is normally a granular product. To further broaden our market footprint, we are evaluating transforming this material for use in specific applications that favor a compacted product. In this context, the application of our pelletized fuel in waste-heat-to-energy applications for power generation is of particular interest. Additionally, and on the international scene, utilization of pelletized fuels as means for meeting Kyoto Protocol emissions-reduction goals is expanding and could have a positive impact on EcoPlus."

ECPL (www.ecoplusinc.com) has a patent-pending, commercially proven technology that utilizes an environmentally friendly process for turning this restaurant refuse into a high quality, solid fuel product. This product can be used as a coal substitute to produce power, as an adjunct fuel in waste heat to energy and steam plant operations and as a fuel for industrial process heat over a broad range of applications. This option to capture BTUs for energy that are normally wasted is highly attractive in the tight energy environment of today.
