What's in the Future for 3G

140 CEOs and Presidents Chart Course for 3G

HONG KONG, Nov. 20, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Speakers at the 11th Annual 3G World Congress and Mobility Marketplace, Asia Pacific's largest mobility conference and marketplace, will gather in Hong Kong this December to discuss critical business and industry issues surrounding the future of 3G and mobility.

More than 140 speakers, CEOs, Presidents, Vice-Presidents and C-level executives from key players including Intel, Motorola, Orange, Nokia, Siemens Communications, Qualcomm, Alcatel and Lucent Technologies will address the four key questions that will determine the future of Mobility:

-- How well does 3G enable the industry's evolving focus from
    connectivity to content?
-- What role will mobility play in the web based industries in the
    future?
-- How are the experiences with 3G changing industry dynamics?
-- What's the evolutionary roadmap for 3G and how does it compare with
    emerging competing "4G" technologies?

"The 3G World Congress remains Asia's international event that keeps discussion entirely business and issues focused. The Congress allows media, analysts and ultimately investors to gain insight into solutions for key issues within the proper business context," said Daniel Kirwin, Managing Director of Beacon Events, organizer of the 3G World Congress.

"We need to get past the rhetoric and start talking about the questions that operators need to deal with," Kirwin elaborated. "Given the equal weight that 3G World Congress gives to all aspects of mobility technology, the event is an appropriate international event for the industry to come together and debate on controversial subjects impacting not just 3G but the future of mobility at large."

New at the Congress in 2006 is the Mobility Marketplace, an onsite workplace that will provide extensive and exclusive meeting facilities for delegates to enhance business development and networking strategy for Asia. This will also be the centre point for analysts and the media to meet with prominent industry players and key decision makers to gain in-depth insights in many of the key issues that affect the industry and consumers in a more private setting.

The 11th Annual 3G World Congress and Mobility Marketplace will be held in the heart of town at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from December 4-7, 2006.

Press Passes to hear and learn from more than 140 speakers are available free of charge to qualified media from around the world. For details about registration and speakers information, please visit www.3gcongress.com.
