CHICAGO, Nov. 21, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Perritt Capital Management, advisor to the Perritt Funds, has announced year end distributions to shareholders of record as of November 14, 2006. The Perritt Microcap Opportunities Fund has made an Ordinary Income Distribution of $0.58935 per share and a Long Term Capital Gain Distribution of $2.46516 per share. The Perritt Emerging Opportunities Fund has made an Ordinary Income Distribution of $0.20977 per share and a Long Term Capital Gain Distribution of $0.55165 per share. Michael Corbett, President and Portfolio Manager of the funds stated, "We have been fortunate to see strong performance in several of our stock selections over the past five years, and due to being forced out of some companies we are in a position to pass along a distribution to our shareholders that is higher than usual."

Perritt Capital Management has been managing small-cap portfolios since the firm's inception in 1988. The flagship MicroCap Opportunities Fund (PRCGX) invests in fundamentally sound companies with market capitalizations under $500 million. The Emerging Opportunities Fund (PREOX), launched in 2004, uses the same disciplined process but invests in an even smaller segment of the market (companies with market values below $250 million at the time of initial purchase).

The firm aims to provide investors the opportunity to profit from fundamentally strong small companies through its mutual funds, separately managed accounts, and placements on leading 401k programs.
