December 14th Festivities Include VIP Tour of Mummies... Treasures From the British Museum, Gift Basket Raffle, Nostalgic Holiday Movie Screening and an Art Auction for CHOC

SANTA ANA, Calif., Nov. 27, 2006 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Members of the OCPRSA (Orange County Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America), OC Ad Club (Orange County Advertising Club), Ad2OC (Ad2 Orange County) will celebrate their first-ever collaborative holiday event at the new state-of-the-art Bowers Museum's Dorothy and Donald Kennedy Wing on Thursday, December 14, 2006.

The evening's festivities will begin at 7 p.m. in the beautiful central Atrium of the new Bowers Museum North Wing. Food will be provided by one of Joachim Splichal's famed Pinot Restaurants -- Tangata @ The Bowers. Drink specials, music, and libations will be sponsored by EFFEN Vodka and Red Bull. Tickets will be $35 per person for pre-registration and $40 at the door. All guests are requested to bring a toy or preferably a gift card for the Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC). Tickets for the event are limited.

There are a variety of featured activities throughout the evening, starting with the first annual OC Ad Club-sponsored Art Auction & Charity that will benefit the student scholarship funds of the OCPRSA and OC Ad Club, and CHOC. The auction will take place in the beautiful outdoor Sculpture Garden.

"The art auction is a new and unique way to involve our members, and allows them to use their own creativity to give back to the community," said Richard Wang, OC Ad Club president.

The holiday event will also include the county-renowned OCPRSA Holiday Gift Basket Raffle. "The OCPRSA Gift Basket Raffle has always been an exciting part of the evening at all past OCPRSA holiday parties. At prior raffles, OCPRSA members have donated extraordinary gift baskets, tickets for sporting events, gift certificates to OC's top restaurants and golf packages. We look forward to continuing this tradition with the OC Ad Club and Ad2OC," stated Kelly Teenor, president of the OCPRSA.

The most anticipated event of the evening will be the VIP tour of Mummies: Death and the Afterlife in Ancient Egypt... Treasures from the British Museum, made possible by Ad2OC. This world-renowned exhibit features 14 actual mummies and sarcophagi from the ancient world, as well as more than 140 funerary artifacts. Admission for the VIP Mummies tour will be an additional $15 for members and $25 for non-members, and includes a holiday gift as well as "after hours" access to the Bowers Museum permanent galleries.

Throughout the evening, a Nostalgic Holiday Movie film festival will feature some of the most popular holiday films from the past -- all being showcased in the new 300 seat state-of-the-art Norma Kershaw Auditorium. In addition, attendees will be able to explore some of this holiday's new 2007 luxury and adventure vehicles, as they will be displayed throughout the event space.
