British Airways Adds an Eighth At Eight

Additional Morning Flight Increases New York's JFK to London Heathrow Service to Eight Daily Flights


NEW YORK, Dec. 4, 2006 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- British Airways today introduces an eighth daily roundtrip flight between New York's John F. Kennedy airport and London's Heathrow airport.

This brings British Airways' total flights from the New York metro area to eleven, with three services from Newark, and provides the most comprehensive schedule between New York and London.

The new service will operate as follows:



 * Eastbound, BA172 will depart JFK at 8 a.m. and arrive at London-
   Heathrow at 7:45 p.m. the same day
 * Westbound, BA173 will depart London-Heathrow at 6:55 p.m. and
   arrive at JFK at 9:35 p.m. the same day

The Boeing 777 flights offer British Airways' four unique classes of service in the following configuration: 14 First, 48 Club World, 40 World Traveller Plus and 122 World Traveller seats. First and Club World feature the airline's exclusive 180-degree totally flat beds and World Traveller Plus (premium economy) features a 38-inch pitch reclining seat with its own separate cabin.

British Airways' JFK services operate from Terminal 7 and the airline is the only foreign carrier to solely own and operate its own terminal at JFK. Terminal 7 features a range of retail options as well as the British Airways' Terraces lounge featuring pre-flight dining and a Molton Brown spa.
