COSTA MESA, Calif., Dec. 5, 2006 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- RSM EquiCo Capital Markets LLC, a global investment bank, has named John F. Cary managing director.
Cary, who is based in the firm's Chicago office, will provide merger and acquisition and capital raising advisory services to the firm's investment banking clients.

Cary has more than 16 years of corporate development experience in a variety of industries, including telecommunications, health care, insurance, and business process outsourcing.
Prior to joining RSM EquiCo Capital Markets, Cary led the western U.S. business development group for RSM McGladrey Employer Services. He previously founded and served as chief executive officer of two successful start-up businesses, Cellular City and ComCore. ComCore was subsequently sold to DCC, an Inc. 500 company, in 2001.
Cary has led and advised mid-sized companies on corporate finance, shareholder buyouts, divestitures, and mergers and acquisitions. He has successfully negotiated numerous sale and re-capitalization transactions in a variety of industries, including telecommunications, insurance, business process outsourcing and health care.
An active member of the Big Brother/Big Sister program, Cary also developed an annual benefit for the Muscular Dystrophy Association from 2000 to 2004. He received a bachelor's degree in accounting from Texas A&M University.
