MEF Chairman Emeritus Ralph Simon Named to "Mobile Entertainment Top 50" List of Global Wireless Industry Executives for Second Year in a Row

LONDON -- (MARKET WIRE) -- December 7, 2006 -- Ralph Simon, Chairman Emeritus & Founder of the MEF Americas, executive board member of Iconmobile and a pioneer in the ringtone and mobile content business, has been named by the authoritative international publication Mobile Entertainment as one of the top 50 mobile entertainment executives in the world for the second year in a row.

Simon, who this past year ran the mobile strategy for the global Live8 concerts, interfacing with partners America Online, Nokia and Sun Microsystems, was lauded for his extensive deal-making skills and strategic initiatives in advancing the mobile industry. Simon serves as chairman emeritus for the Americas division of the Mobile Entertainment Forum, a worldwide trade association promoting the mobile entertainment and content industry, which held one of its major meetings this week in Hong Kong during the 3G World Congress and ITU Telecom World.

Simon, a true global citizen who lives in London, an inveterate traveller with offices in Los Angeles and Berlin, was the founder of ringtone pioneer YourMobile, which was sold to Universal Music Group, rebranded Moviso, and is now InfoSpace Mobile, the leading mobile content distributors in the USA. He began his career as co-founder of legendary indie music company Zomba whose record label Jive Records and music publishing company are both now a part of Sony BMG.

Mobile Entertainment is the leading global mobile content publication based in the UK. Its editors polled dozens of content insiders to come up with its list.
