MCLEAN, Va., Dec. 7, 2006 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) was awarded a task order to help improve information technology management and operations for the Department of Justice.
Under the Information Technology Support Services (ITSS-3) contract, Northrop Grumman's Information Technology (IT) sector will provide IT and security analysis, training, Web content, task and asset management, and applications, operations and help desk support for the Department of Justice's Criminal Division Office.
"This task order allows us to leverage our expertise in information security and IT management for the Justice Department while building upon our long-term partnership with the agency," said Sidney Fuchs, president of Northrop Grumman IT's Civilian Agencies group.
Work on the task order will be conducted over one year with four one-year options. The total task order value if all options are exercised is approximately $19.9 million.
Northrop Grumman was one of 12 companies awarded the ITSS-3 indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract in October 2004.
Northrop Grumman's teammate on the task order is CACI, Arlington, Va. Work on the contract will be done in Washington, D.C.
