Encysive Pharmaceuticals Receives FDA Clearance to Resume Clinical Studies With TBC3711


HOUSTON, Dec. 7, 2006 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Encysive Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq:ENCY) today announced that it has received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to initiate and resume clinical studies with TBC3711, the Company's next-generation, highly selective endothelin receptor antagonist. The Company expects that clinical testing with TBC3711, including oral and intravenous formulations, will recommence during the first quarter of 2007.
