WHAT: CDMA vendors will participate in a live web cast hosted by the CDMA Development Group (CDG) (www.cdg.org) to provide insight into the future of 3G, specifically the CDMA2000(r) evolution path and the services it is enabling. CDMA technology has a two-to-three year lead in the industry and these executives will offer a clear vision of what to expect in the future for wireless communications. CDMA2000 services are currently being provided to more than 300 million people by 186 operators in 80 countries, with another 38 1X and 56 1xEV-DO networks in deployment. Product and service innovation, economies of scale and increased competition from a larger number of vendors have significantly driven the progress of CDMA2000 technology, making 3G accessible to the mass market. Key topics to be discussed include: * The CDMA2000 evolution path and its leading role in wireless communications * Time-to-market, performance and economic advantages enabled by CDMA2000 * Spectrum implementations, IP-based network services (e.g., VoIP) and other factors that will impact the future roll-out of advanced mobile broadband services * CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Rev.
