Louis A. Gardner Joins Advanced Planning Services as Chief Marketing Officer


SAN DIEGO, Dec. 13, 2006 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Advanced Planning Services, Inc. (APS), a national financial services distribution organization, today announced that Louis A. Gardner has joined the company as Chief Marketing Officer. Mr. Gardner will be responsible for developing a comprehensive sales and marketing distribution system for APS and its related companies.

Prior to joining APS, Gardner was employed by Peachtree LBP Finance Company as Vice President of their Insurance Services Division in Norcross, Georgia. He also gained much of his experience serving in various capacities at several large life insurance companies, where he achieved rigorous earnings and sales growth.

Most recently, Mr. Gardner was employed by New York Life as Vice President of the Retail Brokerage Channel in Leawood, Kansas. Mr. Gardner was employed by Pacific Life Insurance Company in Newport Beach, Calif. Gardner served as Assistant Vice President and National Sales Manager for the marketing and distribution of variable life products.

Previously, Mr. Gardner was a National Sales Manager for Nationwide Insurance Company, overseeing all sales activities in the western half of the United States related to marketing and wholesaling four variable universal live (VUL) products.

Gardner earned a Bachelor of Science degree at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, Calif., and is a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and is licensed with a Series 7 for Life, Disability and Annuity.
