Launched by AST Founder Safi Qureshey, Quartics Delivers Today's Hottest Content to Displays of Consumers' Choice

ADVISORY, Dec. 14, 2006 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) --

WHAT: Quartics, the premier provider of video processing
solutions to enable streaming media over wireless and
wired networks, will be featuring their media extension
and processing solutions during the 2007 International
CES, January 8-11, 2007, in Las Vegas. Quartics is
advancing the state-of-the-art of media processing and
ushering in new techniques that enable consumers to
view content on the displays of their choice,
regardless of media format or file.

Demonstrations to be showcased during CES include:

                  * PC2TV -- your content on the display of choice.
Quartics' PC2TV family of solutions enables
consumers to select any video content in any format
from PCs and watch it on the display of choice.
With PC2TV, consumers can watch their favorite TV
shows, sports sites, DVDs, presentations created at
work, and home videos directly on their TVs. At
CES, Quartics will demonstrate video coming from a
number of sources such as ABC, CinemaNow, ESPN,
Fox, Google, MediaZone, YouTube and others.

                  * Media Coprocessor -- a breakthrough architecture.
At CES, Quartics will demonstrate the world's first
fully programmable media processor that performs
decoding, encoding and transcoding of all media
formats in real time. Quartics' media processor
                    dramatically boosts a computer's processing
capability to handle multiple proprietary HD media
formats, allowing them to be converted to any
preferred format, viewing size and resolution in
real time. This allows even mid-range PCs/laptops
to become HD media processing powerhouses.

                  * USB Video Monitor and Docking Stations. The
Quartics media decoder enables a PC to display to
devices of the users' choice via USB or wireless
                    connections. This decoder delivers DVD-quality
video and lossless graphics from PCs to TVs, HDTVs,
LCD monitors, and digital projectors. Soon,
consumers will be selecting monitors based on
whether or not the monitors are USB-enabled.
