NexVue Information Systems Spins Off BIO Analytics Division to Focus Exclusively On Business Intelligence Solutions for the Mid-Market

John French Named Spin-off Company's Chief Software Architect; Todd Gold Joins Development Team

STAMFORD, Conn., Dec. 18, 2006 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- NexVue Information Systems, a leading provider of financial and operational business solutions for the mid-market, and pioneer in middle market business intelligence (BI) and business analytics, today announced that it has spun off the company's software development division. Named BIO(r) Analytics Corp., the spin-off company will be dedicated to meeting the growing demand for its breakthrough BIO(r) business intelligence platform and continuing the development of other affordable, state-of-the-art BI and business analytics solutions for mid-sized companies.

NexVue also announced today the appointment of John French as Chief Software Architect of BIO Analytics Corp. As the BIO platform's Chief Architect for the past four years, French has been instrumental in the flagship product's development. In his new position, French will report directly to Dan Schwartz, BIO Analytics' President and NexVue's founder.

"Since the roll-out of our BIO platform two years ago, we have seen tremendous response from mid-market companies seeking business analytics solutions designed specifically for their needs," said Schwartz. "Increasingly, mid-market companies are competing head-to-head with much larger organizations armed with expensive, sophisticated business intelligence systems. Our BI products level that playing field, having engineered out the cost, complexity and risk associated with traditional BI applications. With the establishment of BIO Analytics, we can continue to build on our successful track record, delivering BI solutions that have significant strategic and bottom-line impact for our clients."

Microsoft recently signed an agreement to market and distribute BIO for its Dynamics(tm) SL accounting platform for mid-market companies. The product, an interactive reporting and analysis solution that ties together operations and finance data, will be sold under the name BIO for Microsoft Dynamics SL.

"BIO's generic design philosophy provides a simple and highly intuitive interface to Microsoft's rich suite of business intelligence and data administration products," said French. "By shielding customers from architectural and data manipulation issues, it allows them to focus on what is most important -- leveraging application data to the maximum strategic advantage to their organization."

French has been a driving force in business intelligence for the past 20 years and has a unique depth of experience in the field, having developed large, enterprise-scale business intelligence projects at companies such as Compaq, Bankers Trust and Grand Metropolitan. "John is one of a handful of people in the industry capable of delivering a platform of such power and sophistication as BIO," Schwartz said.

Todd Gold will also be joining the BIO Analytics team as Software Developer. Gold has a wealth of experience in software development, embracing the latest paradigms and technologies. In his new role, Gold will primarily focus on the development of the next generation of tools and applications for the BIO product line.

"John and Todd bring highly specialized skills and experience to the BIO Analytics team," Schwartz added. "They will be instrumental in our ability to develop and deliver world class business intelligence products and services to our mid-market clients."
