Hudson Valley On the Horizon: JetBlue Begins Service to Newburgh, New York

Now Serving Six Destinations in the Empire State

Low-Cost Airline Offers $79(a) Introductory Fares to Florida

Three Additional Flights to the Sunshine State Begin January 5

NEW YORK, Dec. 19, 2006 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- JetBlue Airways Corporation (Nasdaq:JBLU) today begins daily nonstop service between Newburgh's Stewart International Airport (SWF), in New York's Hudson Valley, and Fort Lauderdale and Orlando, Florida. Beginning January 5, a second daily flight will be added to each destination. Additionally, daily nonstop service to West Palm Beach, Florida will begin January 5, making the low-cost carrier the largest airline serving Stewart International Airport.

To celebrate its Empire State expansion, the airline is currently offering a special $79(a) fare each way to Fort Lauderdale, Orlando or West Palm Beach from Newburgh. Regular one-way fares to/from Newburgh will start at $99(a). The Hudson Valley is JetBlue's sixth New York destination, in addition to John F. Kennedy and LaGuardia Airports, Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse.

"We are New York's hometown airline, and we are committed to making air travel affordable, fun and friendly for our Hudson Valley customers as well as New Yorkers throughout the state," said David Neeleman, CEO and Founder of JetBlue. "We look forward to providing the Hudson Valley with more options and more value for their airfare."

"I always knew that Stewart and JetBlue would make a nice couple, but now we know that they are a match made in heaven," said U.S. Senator Charles E. Schumer. "This new expanded service will drive down airfares for people throughout the Hudson Valley, including Westchester and Rockland Counties and the entire mid-Hudson area. Not only does this help make air travel more affordable for local passengers, low fares also translate into economic growth. They will be a huge boost for the region and I was proud to lead the fight to bring them here."

"The commencement of low-cost passenger service by JetBlue Airways is another important step in realizing the full potential of Stewart Airport. Area residents will benefit from having access to a greater number of affordable and convenient flights to Florida," said Congressman Maurice Hinchey (D-NY). "I'm hopeful and also confident that we can build on this significant step forward. We need to continue our efforts to improve and expand the services offered by Stewart Airport, which is critical to long-term economic development in the Hudson Valley."

"Today, JetBlue starts flying out of Stewart," said Chuck Seliga, President and COO of Stewart International Airport. "I have heard many, many positive comments about JetBlue and the publicity has been extensive. We are very happy to welcome the low-fare carrier here as our partners and I know that the entire community will support JetBlue's service in the Hudson Valley."

JetBlue will operate flights to Florida with its Airbus A320 aircraft. The 156-seat aircraft offers customers roomy all-leather seats, 36 channels of free DIRECTV(r) programming (b) on seat-back televisions as well as a selection of first-run movies and bonus features for a small additional fee from FOX InFlight(tm). JetBlue customers enrolled in the airline's flight gratitude program, TrueBlue, will earn two TrueBlue points each way, with double points awarded for travel purchased online at www.jetblue.com. Customers can earn TrueBlue points even faster by using the JetBlue Card from American Express. Every time cardholders purchase JetBlue travel with the Card, or earn at least one TrueBlue point through other purchasing using the Card, all TrueBlue points in the member's account automatically extend for another 12 months.
