JetBlue's Gift to You: 10 Additional Pounds of Free Checked Baggage, Extra TrueBlue Points and Travel Tips for the Holiday Season

NEW YORK, Dec. 20, 2006 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- JetBlue Airways Corporation (Nasdaq:JBLU) today wishes its customers happy holidays by waiving the overweight baggage fee for checked bags weighing up to 60 pounds (a). This special holiday gift applies to customers checking bags from December 21, 2006 through January 3, 2007. In addition, TrueBlue members will earn two TrueBlue points by checking in online through January 4, 2007, giving customers the opportunity to reach their Award Flight even faster. The low-cost airline also offers useful travel tips to make flying JetBlue for the holidays even easier.

"JetBlue was created to bring humanity back to air travel, and that's even more important during the holiday season," said David Neeleman, CEO and Founder of JetBlue Airways. "By allowing an extra 10 pounds per checked bag and by offering extra TrueBlue points and simple travel tips for our customers, we hope to help make travel as comfortable as possible during this special, yet busy time of year."

-- Check in for your flight at www.jetblue.com up to 24 hours in
advance -- even if you're checking bags. Through January 4, 2007,
TrueBlue members will earn two TrueBlue points by doing this. Then
proceed directly to a JetBlue bag drop counter.
-- Check in using a kiosk. You can easily retrieve your itinerary and
print your boarding pass by typing in your confirmation number,
entering your specific travel details, inserting a major credit
card, or scanning the barcode on your printed e-tinerary. If
you're checking bags, indicate the appropriate number and proceed
    to a bag drop counter.
-- Remember that all liquids and gels (including snow globes and other
gifts) in your carry-on must comply with the Transportation
Security Administration's 3-1-1 guidelines: they must be THREE
ounces or less, contained in ONE quart-sized clear plastic zip-top
bag, and with only ONE bag permitted per customer. Placing all
liquids in your checked luggage will make for a quicker security
screening process. More information is available at
    http://www.jetblue.com/help/311.html?intcmp=tsa311.
-- If traveling with holiday gifts, wait to wrap them until you reach
your final destination. That way if further screening is
necessary, the contents can be easily identified by security
    personnel.
-- Stay in touch with family and friends during your travel by
accessing free Wi-Fi at JFK's Terminal 6 and at Long Beach Airport.
Other airports served by JetBlue, including Boston's Logan
International Airport, Washington Dulles International Airport and
Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, offer wireless
access as well. Also, check out mobile.jetblue.com from any
WAP-enabled cell phone or PDA while on the road for real-time
    flight status.
-- Bring your own headphones for an even better-sounding onboard
entertainment experience. JetBlue offers regular headphone jacks
at every seat so customers can enjoy the most free live
entertainment in the sky: 36 channels of DIRECTV(r) programming (b)
and over 100 channels of XM Satellite Radio(r) (not available on
all flights). Don't worry -- if you forget your headphones, we'll
    give you a free pair.
-- Bring your appetite! JetBlue offers unlimited complimentary snacks
on every flight, including Terra Blues(r) Chips, Doritos(r)
Munchies Mix, Chocobillys chocolate chunk cookies, All Nuts Jumbo
Cashew Halves, Mamma Says(r) Gingerbread Biscotti, Mrs.
GoodCookie(r) Jungle Crackers. If you want a full meal, feel free
to purchase one in the airport and bring it onboard with you. You
can wash it all down with freshly brewed Dunkin' Donuts(r) coffee.
-- Wait to place your coats and jackets in overhead bins until all
carry-on items have first been stowed. That way there will be room
for everyone's items and your coat will be on top.

Based out of New York City, the low-cost carrier currently serves 49 destinations with up to 470 flights daily. Onboard JetBlue, customers enjoy roomy leather seats and 36 channels of free DIRECTV(r) programming (b), the most live TV available on any airline. On flights longer than two hours, a selection of first-run movies and bonus features from FOX InFlight(tm) is also available. JetBlue offers customers generous brand name snacks and beverages, including freshly brewed Dunkin' Donuts(r) coffee, and delicious wines selected by the airline's Low Fare Sommelier, Josh Wesson from Best Cellars(r). On overnight flights from the West, the airline now offers Shut-Eye Service(tm), with a comfort kit designed exclusively for JetBlue by Bliss Spa and other special amenities including a "good morning" hot towel service. With JetBlue, all seats are assigned, all travel is ticketless, all fares are one-way, and an overnight stay is never required. (a) From December 21, 2006 to January 3, 2007, JetBlue Airways will waive the overweight baggage fee for customers traveling with bags weighing 51-60 pounds on all flights (excluding flights to/from Santiago, DR, where baggage over 50 pounds is not accepted). Overweight baggage charges apply for bags above 60 pounds on both domestic and international flights. The checked baggage policy for Excess (more than two bags per customer) and Oversized (over 62 linear inches in overall dimensions) for domestic and international flights remains the same. All other rules regarding baggage apply.

(b) DIRECTV(r) service is not available on flights outside the continental United States; however, where applicable FOX InFlight(tm) is offered complimentary on these routes. FOX InFlight(tm) is a trademark of Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation. JetBlue's in-flight entertainment is powered by LiveTV, a wholly owned subsidiary of JetBlue.
