ANNOUNCEMENT PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 2, SECTION 10 OF THE
SECURITIES MARKET ACT

Ruukki Group Oyj has today received an announcement pursuant
to Securities Market Act chapter 2, section 9 regarding a
change in shareholding.

According to the announcement of Mandatum Pankkiiriliike Oy
(business ID number 1486391-5) its ownership exceeds one
twentieth (1/20) of the share capital and voting rights of
Ruukki Group Oyj in consequence of transactions carried out on
2 January 2007.

Furthermore, Mandatum Pankkiiriliike Oy announces that it has
certain derivative contracts in its possession, which will,
when executed at earliest on 21 March 2007, lead to fall of
the ownership below one twentieth (1/20).

The ownership of Mandatum Pankkiiriliike Oy of Ruukki Group
Oyj is at the moment 8,020,000 shares, which represents 5.90
percent of the share capital and voting rights.

Ruukki Group Oyj’s registered number of shares is 135,963,737
and share capital is 23,017,809.60 euros.
