SAMPO PLC´S SHARES SUBSCRIBED WITH OPTIONS
A total of 3,055,300 A shares have been subscribed, with the options of Sampo
plc's 2000 option programme, and paid by 13 December 2006. As a result of the
share subscription, Sampo received a total of EUR 18,759,542.00 in capital and
reserves.
The subsequent share capital increase of EUR 513,864.57 in total has been entered
into the Finnish Trade Register today. Sampo plc's share capital after the
increase amounts to EUR 95,980,383.38 and the number of A shares totals
569,473,445 shares. After the increase, the total number of shares of the
company, including 1,200,000 B shares, comprises 570,673,445 shares.
The new shares will be taken up for trading at the Helsinki Stock Exchange on or
about 4 January 2007 and they will entitle to dividend from the accounting period
2006.
