Kristinn Albertsson has informed the board of his intention to step down as Chief Financial Officer. He will be succeeded by Philippe Perrineau, who is currently Corporate Controller at Alfesca. As Chief Financial Officer, Kristinn Albertsson has played an important role in the development of the Group. Particularly noteworthy was Kristinn's involvement in the acquisition of Lyons Seafoods in the UK in 2003 and the successful implementation of the transformation of Alfesca Group, which started with the strategic acquisition of Labeyrie Group in 2004. Xavier Govare, CEO of Alfesca, said: "We are announcing today the decision of Kristinn to step down as CFO after a successful career with Alfesca. Kristinn's contribution to the Group has been significant and we will certainly miss his enthusiasm and determination". "Kristinn will be leaving Alfesca in sound financial health and with a bright future and I would like to thank him warmly, on behalf of everyone, for all his work over the years. We wish him every success for the future as he takes up a new challenge." Kristinn Albertsson, said: "After 11 years with the Group and now that Alfesca has moved successfully into a new phase, I have decided to seek a new challenge. It has been a privilege to have worked for the Group and it has been especially rewarding to have been closely involved with the transformation that has taken place within the business. I will be leaving with many fond memories and wish everyone at the Group success." Kristinn will continue in his role for a transitional period over the next few months in order to ensure a smooth hand over of his responsibilities and to oversee the completion of current projects that are in progress. Philippe Perrineau (50), who is currently the Corporate Controller of the Group, will take over as Chief Financial Officer. Philippe joined Alfesca's subsidiary, Labeyrie, in 2000 as Chief Financial Officer when it was listed on the Paris Stock Exchange and was involved in Labeyrie's delisting in 2002 when it was taken private.
