New President for CON-SPACE


RICHMOND, British Columbia, Jan. 4, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- CON-SPACE Communications Ltd. (TSX-V:CCB), (http://www.con-space.com ), a world leader in specialized voice communication products, today announced the appointment of Mr. Michael Thirlwell, as the new company President.

Thirlwell comes to CON-SPACE with a diverse background including a B. Comm from the University of Alberta, a 21-year business career with Xerox of Canada followed by several years as a senior level consultant.

While at Xerox he successfully completed assignments in general management and sales management, Manager of Product Marketing responsible for working with the international groups to plan and launch new products. He has also worked as leader for the national product teams planning, manufacturing, distribution, admin, service, and sales groups to effectively market current products and bring new products to market.

After leaving Xerox in 1996 he joined SecuriGuard Services Ltd. as COO until 1998 when he began providing Interim Management services as a consultant to companies in the Vancouver area. While providing these consulting services he aligned himself with a team of senior managers providing services for a wide range of companies in different business segments including manufacturing, telecommunications, hospitality and non-profit organizations.

Coming with a results-oriented background, Mike appears to have excellent HR skills and has thorough knowledge of Quality Management control and business process development and implementation.

Thirlwell has also been active in the community as a participant in the United Way of the Lower Mainland, Chair of the B.C. Sports Hall of Fame Charity Golf Tournament, Past Chair of the Vancouver Community College Foundation, and Past President of the Seymour Golf and Country Club.

Mike is 54 and is married with three children, ages 22, 18, and 16. He is a resident of North Vancouver and has been for 21 years.
