LAS VEGAS, January 8, 2007, (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- 2007 International CES (BOOTH No. Renaissance 26) -- Buffalo Technology, a global leader in the design, development and manufacturing of wireless and wired networking, storage and memory solutions announced today its AirStation(tm) Wireless-N Nfiniti(tm) Dual Band Router & AP (WZR-AG300NH) is the first wireless router to receive Windows Vista(tm) Premium Certification. Buffalo's new router delivers the ultimate Windows Vista experience by surpassing all other devices in reliability, security, and compatibility. To receive Windows Vista certification, the router meets all the requirements of the "Works With Windows Vista" logo tier, plus additionally supports simultaneous dual-band operation, necessary for delivering optimal video streaming experiences to Xbox 360 and other digital video receivers in the home.

The AirStation Wireless-N Nfiniti Dual Band Router & AP is the first wireless router that concurrently supports all Wi-Fi(r) standards (802.11a/b/g) and the IEEE 802.11n draft specification. It is also the only two-in-one wireless device on the market today with an external switch, which easily allows the product to be used as either a router or Access Point.

The new router was named an International CES Innovations 2007 Design and Engineering Awards Honoree by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA(r)). Products entered in this prestigious program are judged by a preeminent panel of independent industrial designers, engineers and members of the trade press to honor outstanding design and engineering in cutting edge consumer electronics.

"Being the first manufacturer to offer a Windows Vista Certified wireless router is a great honor for Buffalo for it ensures our new router provides what consumers demand in a wireless product -- reliability, security, and compatibility," said Morikazu Sano, senior vice president of global sales and marketing at Buffalo Technology. "Microsoft's Premium certification and logo represent passing rigorous performance and compatibility tests; being the first to do so is a testament to our engineering practices and testament to product quality. Similarly, we are also excited that CEA recognized this device as one of the best designed and engineered products on the market. These two achievements validate Buffalo's position of delivering best-of-breed solutions that play an integral role in the digital home."
