Dwayne Lowdermilk Appointed Assistant Coach for World Hockey Association's New Westminster Whalers


VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Jan. 8, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- The World Hockey Association (Pink Sheets:WHKA) is pleased to announce that Dwayne Lowdermilk has been appointed Assistant Coach with the New Westminster Whalers. Lowdermilk takes over from Willie Siemans, who has been promoted to a head coaching position in Osoyoos.

"Dwayne has a tremendous hockey background and will be a valuable asset in helping Garry Unger develop the hockey skills of these men," said WHA Founder and President William Smith. "We are very fortunate that Dwayne has decided to join our league."

The Whalers are currently leading the six team league with 38 points.
