Commodity Classic Offers Full Slate of Agricultural Topics for Farmers

Jan. 10, 2007: Countdown to Classic -- 50 Days Until Commodity Classic

ST. LOUIS, Jan. 10, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Several educational and marketing sessions and a trade show with 192 agribusiness exhibitors await corn, soybean and wheat growers at the 11th annual Commodity Classic in Tampa, Fla., March 1-3.

Early registration for Commodity Classic, the combined convention and trade show of the American Soybean Association (ASA), the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) and the National Association of Wheat Growers (NAWG), ends Jan. 17. This is the first year NAWG joins Commodity Classic.

Commodity Classic gives producers the opportunity to attend 12 Learning Center sessions and three Early Riser Marketing Sessions to hear about issues such as transportation, biofuels and trade.

"Once again, Commodity Classic will offer a number of Learning Centers during which experts will discuss issues that affect growers' profitability," said ASA President Rick Ostlie. "Some of these sessions are policy-related, focusing on issues expected to be debated in Washington this year."

Sessions include:

-- The Value of U.S. Ag Exports for Grain and Oilseed Farmers
 -- Transportation Infrastructure
-- Agriculture's Compliance with the Clean Water Act
-- Perspectives on the 2007 Farm Bill

"With several Learning Centers and Early Riser Marketing Sessions available, producers have every opportunity to learn the best methods to improve productivity on their farm," said NCGA President Ken McCauley.

With more than 190 agribusinesses at the trade show, growers have the ability to network with key agribusiness leaders and other growers.

"This event will provide great opportunities for growers to network with other agribusiness leaders and growers and to share information in a way that is only possible in a forum like Commodity Classic," said NAWG President Dale Schuler.

Registration is available through March 3. For more information or to register, visit www.commodityclassic.com.
