The Fairfield County Public Relations Association Presents: Telling the Wal-Mart Story

WESTPORT, Conn., Jan. 11, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- In his capacity as senior manager for public affairs for the Northeast, Christopher N. Buchanan is a leading spokesman for Wal-Mart, the world's largest retailer with 1.3 million employees in the U.S. and 1.8 million worldwide with stores that draw 127 million customers a week. Mr. Buchanan will "Tell the Wal-Mart Story" in a luncheon meeting presented by the Fairfield County Public Relations Association on Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at Meigas Restaurant in Norwalk.

In the critical crosshairs of labor unions, politicos and the media, no company in the history of business has been under such withering and relentless a public relations attack as Wal-Mart. FORTUNE (Dec. 11, 2006) also cites in the conventional wisdom of many that Wal-Mart will be "a legitimate campaign issue" in the U.S. 2008 elections. This presentation is not to be missed!

The meeting begins with a reception at 11:45 a.m. followed by lunch at 12:00 p.m. and the presentation at 12:30 p.m. Advance reservations for members is $30.00; $35.00 for non-members and walk-ins. For reservations and information, contact FCPRA Administrator Edward Bloch at 203-227-4920 (phone and fax) or via e-mail at edbloch@optonline.net.
