SAMPO PLC´S SHARES SUBSCRIBED WITH OPTIONS
A total of 11,627,340 A shares have been subscribed, with the options of Sampo
plc's 2000 option programme, and paid by 29 December 2006. As a result of the
share subscription, Sampo received a total of EUR 71,391,867.60 in capital and
reserves.
The subsequent share capital increase of EUR 1,955,578.20 in total has been
entered into the Finnish Trade Register today. Sampo plc's share capital after
the increase amounts to EUR 97,935,961.58 and the number of A shares totals
581,100,785 shares. After the increase, the total number of shares of the
company, including 1,200,000 B shares, comprises 582,300,785 shares.
The new shares will be taken up for trading at the Helsinki Stock Exchange on or
about 15 January 2007 and they will entitle to dividend from the accounting
period 2006.
