Cargotec to Acquire Service Company in Balkan

Kalmar, the business area providing container handling solutions within Cargotec,
has made an agreement to acquire Tagros d.o.o. a Slovenia-based service company.
Tagros provides maintenance of container handling equipment and industrial
forklifts at the Port of Koper in Slovenia. Kalmar aims also to use the
acquisition of Tagros as an opportunity to build up its service and sales
activities in Slovenia and the Northern Balkan Peninsula. The parties have agreed
not to disclose the transaction value. The agreement signed with Tagros d.o.o. is
subject to competition authority approval.

Privately-owned Tagros had net sales of approximately EUR 2 million in 2006 and
employs some 35 employees. The Port of Koper's container terminal volumes
surpassed 200,000 TEU in 2006. The port handles also large amounts of sawn
timber, motor cars and bulk.
