Trucking Veteran John T. Hickerson to Lead FFE Transportation Services, Inc. Dry Van Division


DALLAS, Jan. 15, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- John T. Hickerson, 55, has joined FFE Transportation Services, Inc. ("FFE"), as Division President of American Eagle Lines, the company's 500-truck dry truckload fleet. Mr. Hickerson will also lead FFE's freight brokerage operation. The announcement came Monday from Stoney M. Stubbs, President and CEO FFE and its parent Frozen Food Express Industries, Inc. (Nasdaq:FFEX).

Prior to joining American Eagle, Hickerson served as Chairman and CEO of Pacer Transport, a division of Pacer International, Inc., Vice President of Domestic Intermodal at the Burlington Northern Sante Fe Railway, President - Roadway Next Day Corporation, and he spent 22 years in the CF / Con-Way family of companies most recently as the founding President and CEO of Con-Way Southern Express.

Hickerson is active in the American Trucking Association, where he has served as Vice President for Texas. He also is a past chairman of the Texas Motor Transportation Association and is a past board member of the Texas Chamber of Commerce.

Hickerson received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Centenary College in Shreveport, LA. He received post-graduate education through the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) Anderson School of Business and Columbia University's Senior Executive Program.
