Two International Education Organizations Partner to Make Studying Abroad in Australia Easier

Launches During Australia Week 2007

CHESTER, Pa., Jan. 16, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Australia is one of the top five most popular destinations in which to study abroad, according to an annual survey conducted by Open Doors. Through a joint effort between two study abroad giants, students now have a resource to help them find all the information they could need on studying in Australia.

Australia.IIEPassport.org is a free website produced by IIEPassport Study Abroad Directories and Australian Education International (AEI), two leading organizations in the study abroad community. The website contains a detailed directory of Australian universities and study abroad programs in Australia, as well as relevant news, resources and information.

"This portal will be the go-to site for Americans interested in learning about the potential of studying in Australia," says Kim Gradel, manager of IIEPassport and international education expert. "Our goal is to make sure students are as prepared as possible for the journey they are about to take."

IIEPassport and AEI have long been dedicated to increasing the number of students who study abroad. They both believe that it will lead to more global understanding and improved foreign relations. The two organizations partnered with each other because IIPassport's targeted audience of U.S. students are the exact people AEI wants to reach.

Fiona Morris, Consul for Education, Science and Training at AEI, believes, "Studying abroad is one of the most important and valuable things a student can do."

She goes on to say, "We know what amazing opportunities exist in Australia, and we are proud to offer them to as many students as possible. Australia.IIEPassport.org presents a unique research option for students who want to study in one of the most spectacular countries on earth."

Anyone can use the site for free by going to http://australia.iiepassport.org/. It has information for potential and current study abroad students as well as advisors. IIEPassport.org has been producing renowned study abroad directories for over 50 years.

IIEPassport Study Abroad Directories

IIEPassport runs an online directory of study abroad programs (IIEPasssport.org) and two printed directories (IIEPassport: Academic Year Abroad and IIEPassport: Short-Term Study Abroad), as well as StudyAbroadFunding.org, the world's only directory dedicated to information on financial aid for study abroad. All three websites are managed through a strategic partnership between the Institute of International Education, which designs and implements over 200 programs of study and training for students, educators, young professionals and trainees from all sectors with funding from government and private sources, and Educational Directories Unlimited, which is the leading provider of online higher education directories with such websites as GradSchools.com and UCEAdirectoryorg.
