Produce Safety & Security International Tests Ozone Process on Everyday Foods

PRESCOTT, Ariz., Jan. 16, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Produce Safety & Security International (Pink Sheets:PDSC) announced today the purchase of fresh produce, seafood and poultry from a variety of major grocery chain stores for testing the ozone process.

Produce Safety & Security International selected six retail chains stores and one organic food store to purchase a variety of produce and meats originating from a variety of states in the U.S., South America, Central America and even China.

Product from all seven stores will be processed by the Produce Safety & Security Food Safe Process today and sent to an independent laboratory for testing of Food Borne Pathogens. One-half of the products from each store will not be processed and those samples will also be sent to the laboratory for testing to give the test a sample to compare to what the consumer purchases without the use of a Food Safe process.

The test results for both will be announced as soon as it is available.

Produce Safety & Security International also made some recommendations during the companies visit to the retail grocery stores. In most cases general condition of the stores were good, but certain areas weren't up to par so the company recommended using the ozone sanitation cleaning to remove the Food Borne bacteria , i.e., ecoli, listeria and salmonella.
