Industrial Nanotech Announces Request to Manufacture Advanced Materials for the U.S. Government's Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies

NAPLES, Fla., Jan. 17, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Industrial Nanotech, Inc. (Pink Sheets:INTK), a Company that specializes in nanotechnology innovation and product development, today announced that, at the request of the U.S. Government's Center For Integrated Nanotechnologies (CINT), the Company has agreed to expand the capabilities of its planned manufacturing facility in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to include the production of specialty advanced materials for certain undisclosed US Government agencies.

Industrial Nanotech has previously announced plans to build a manufacturing plant in New Mexico in order to facilitate the production of its new nanotechnology product and material, Nansulate Shield. During a recent meeting at the Company's Headquarters in Naples, Florida, key members of Industrial Nanotech's CINT team reviewed design and scheduling details of the manufacturing facility and requested that the Company add additional capabilities to produce certain advanced materials. The Company expects to begin the construction of a new facility or begin to move manufacturing equipment into an existing facility prior to the end of 2007.

According to Stuart Burchill, CEO of Industrial Nanotech, "While the Company is currently progressing in its negotiations with a Fortune Global 500 Company for the production and sale of over 1 billion square feet of Nansulate Shield, this request by CINT presents an equally exciting opportunity. The production of such materials will provide great financial and relationship benefits for our Company. In addition to making this request, CINT has been an integral part of planning our expansion to manufacturing since late 2005," added Mr. Burchill.

Industrial Nanotech has been collaborating with CINT on the Research & Development of various nanotechnologies since 2003. The Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies (CINT) is a Department of Energy/Office of Science Nanoscale Science Research Center (NSRC) devoted to nanotechnology. There are five NSRC's throughout the U.S. that form an integrated national program (CINT), affiliated with major facilities at the DOE's National Laboratories, to cover the diverse aspects of nanoscience and technology.
