Mikko Laurila to head the New Markets business area - Marko Mattila to begin as
President of Ponsse North America, Inc.

Mr. Mikko Laurila (36), forestry engineer, has been appointed Vice-President of
Ponsse’s New Markets business area, headquartered in Vieremä. In his new duties,
Laurila will be responsible for opening up and expanding new global markets for
Ponsse and the business operations for harvester heads sold for track-based and
wheel-based forest machines.

Mikko Laurila has been employed by the Ponsse Group since 1999 and acted as the
President of Ponsse North America, Inc. since 2002.

Mr. Marko Mattila (33), forest engineer, has been appointed President of Ponsse
North America, Inc and Vice-President of Ponsse’s North-American area,
headquartered in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. Marko Mattila transfers to Ponsse from
the position of sales manager at Valtra Oy.

Mattila has earlier worked in the forest industry at the Metsäliitto Group in
supervisory duties in, for example, transport, purchasing and harvesting, and at
Valtra in sales and maintenance service duties for forest machine applications
and tractors. Mattila has also worked in the forest industry in the state of
Utah in the USA.

Ponsse’s international sales and maintenance service network consists of six
areas and the Vice-Presidents responsible for the areas form the Global Sales
Management Group. The Vice-Presidents report to the group President and CEO. The
appointments will become effective on 1 April 2007, with Mikko Laurila inducting
his successor until 1 June 2007.
