TASER Device Used to Arrest Armed Robbery Suspect

According to reports from the Hamilton Spectator out of Hamilton, Ontario, a 17-year-old man armed with a gun entered and robbed a Main Street South convenience store just before 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Officials say the man then took off on foot with some cash. He was spotted by Haldimand County OPP who used a TASER device to subdue the suspect after he resisted arrest.

The man was taken to the Cayuga detachment where he continued to be defiant and assaulted police. He now faces various charges including robbery with a firearm, pointing a firearm, resisting arrest and assaulting an officer.
