British Airways Flights Will Operate Between Atlanta and London


ATLANTA, Jan. 26, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Due to a planned strike by British Airways' UK-based cabin crew, the airline has announced a reduced flying schedule for next week but flights between Atlanta and London Gatwick are unaffected and will operate as normal.

However, domestic UK and shorthaul European flights to and from London Heathrow and Gatwick Airports will be cancelled Tuesday, Jan. 30 and Wednesday, Jan. 31. All longhaul flights from the USA to London Heathrow will operate on Tuesday, Jan. 30. Some longhaul flights to London Heathrow on Wednesday, Jan. 31 will also operate.

In addition the airline will cancel some further services into and out of the UK in the days following the strike as it seeks to recover its operation and position aircraft and crew around the world.

Customers are urged to check the airline's website (www.ba.com) regularly and use the 'Manage My Booking' link to obtain information about their individual reservation. If their flight has been affected they should contact British Airways at 1 800 AIRWAYS (1-800-247-9297) or their local travel agent.
