CALGARY, Alberta, Jan. 29, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Arbour Energy Inc. (Pink Sheets:ABRG) announced today that it has obtained an exclusive license for one year to utilize proprietary systems and equipment in connection with the reclamation of contaminated oil and gas sites in Western Canada. Arbour will further have a right of first refusal to participate in remediation contracts obtained by the Licensor in any industry anywhere in the world.
Arbour expects to be in a position to offer a full abandonment and reclamation service to the oil and gas industry by May of 2007. There are currently more than 50,000 shut-in wells in Western Canada that will require abandonment and reclamation over the next few years. Increasing environmental concerns are expected to hasten this process.
